Man, what the hell is up with scientists doing studies of the obvious lately? First we had a bunch of super-geniuses at MIT proving what I figured out with a 386 computer and a free weekend 8 years ago. Namely Tetris is hard.

And okay, I can sort of understand this one as it took me a lot longer to learn to tie my shoes than it did to learn to play tetris, and that I suck at tetris.

But now we have a massively funded global study to prove people don't like the u.s.

Well no shit, Sherlock. I don't know if you were around, but the rest of us got this memo in the form of MASSIVE PLANES FLYING INTO BUILDINGS!

I'm thinking about forming a comission to seek funding for a comprehensive study on whether George Bush Jr. likes or dislikes Saddam Hussein. The beer budget alone should be enormous....  ¶ 3:41 PM

  Okay, back from thanksgiving with a relatively new car. (you can read all about it on Sheri's blog). Feeling good.

It turns out that scientists think that slapping your balls against a hard leather seat for hours is NOT good for them. Goes against all instinct really, but that's why we pay for these multi-million dollar research teams.

Looks like the band is going in to record next month. This is after a two or three month period of no real activity. Getting three people's schedules to interlock sucks, to put it mildly. It's like dating two people who don't want to screw you (one hopes). When your band members screw you, it tends to be in a 'i'm not showing up for the show, and forget about that money i owe you.' kind of a way and not so much in a 'thanks for the great time, but i've got an early meeting so i really have to get going and sure i'll call you' kind of a way.

Not that my band members would ever do either, mind you. The only problem we seem to have is actually playing instead of cracking each other up by thinking of stupid euphimisms for various sexual practices.   ¶ 2:56 PM
