Coffee.

If you're like me, you drink a lot of it. A tremendous amount. Oceans, rivers. You want to bathe in it. To feel the sensous lustre of the beans as they leave their oils on your skin. To.....

Ah, you get the idea. Anyway, it's apparently one of the world's most highly traded commodities. As such, the people who work producing it are subject to all the usual horrors of unrestrained capitalism. Fortunately for us social justice minded addicts, there's a nice alternative. Fair Trade Coffee is an organization that is dedicated to making sure the producers of coffee are paid a living wage.

The little coffee shop that I walk by on my way to my office carries it. After a random sampling the last couple weeks I can tell you that this is quality product. Ask your local shop to carry it. Remember, in the global economy, the only vote we have is our dollars.
