Argh, I'm just not keeping this up. I'm going to try harder, I promise. Okay, so much has been going on. We went to see Circle Jerks/Charged GBH. It was fuking super cool a riffic. The 14 year old in me can die happy now. The best was that GBH had this roadie that was even older than them. He was this little guy that looked like somebody's grandpa, but with a mohawk and he's running out to pick up the mike stands, whatever. This guy is like the coolest thing there. I'm thinking "If not for meeting Sheri, that's me." No regrets about my life, but that wouldn't be the worst possible.
We did the handing out vegetables thing last week as part of the terms of our being in this organic food coop thing. It was fun, but we were accosted by a lot of hippies who tried to convince us to eat grass then dropped the whole peace and love act as soon as they found out that they weren't getting as many beets as they wanted. Whatever. Of course, the beets are really good, and being that there were some left over we got some extra and a good thing because if we hadn't gotten enough I'd have to get really angry and....
We're going to the Siren Fest tomorrow down at Coney Island. That should be cool for many reasons, the primary ones being seeing The Dirtbombs and The Witnesses. However a big draw is going to be seeing our pal Diana's store. She's a new freind of our pal Eric, and we've been meaning to get down there all summer, but you know, lazy. So she sells like cool t-shirts and stuff. If you're strong of character, here's a pic of Justin Timberlake and Brittany wearing her stuff. Well, that aside, I'm still looking forward to dropping in.
Oh, if you're reading this blog, you probably already got the email, but in case I stupidly missed your addy, we're playing a show at the Parkside Lounge on Aug 2nd. We go on at 12:30. The parkside is on Houston between B and C, and there's no cover. Should be good fun. Or just a lot of crying. We're debuing a bunch of new songs since it's been like 8 months since we played out......
