Agh! The internet burns!

Well, it's cool to see that some law enforcement officers are not pro-drug war. I always thought that might make sense since they're the ones putting their bodies up for front line combat. However, this guys idea of riding a horse across the country to get his message across strikes me a bit odd. I mean, who wouldn't want to ride a horse across country? In that vein here's some other things we might do to fight the drug war:

*Hike the Adirondacks to protest the drug war

Okay, you probably aren't going to be seeing any reporters which kind of blows the whole protest part, but it probably more difficult than riding something for months at a time. Plus, I guarantee this will get you mad laid by hippy chicks.

*Take a six month vacation in Jamaica to protest the drug war.

Well, this is in no way difficult, but the hippy chick thing from above probably still applies, and I hear you can get some killer weed down there.

*Eat a whole shitload of chocolate to protest the drug war.

I mean, you've probably already done this after getting high anyway. This way it's like you're making a statement about how the things stoned people do aren't so bad and we should just work it out and can't we all get along.... ah screw it.
mmmmm.....chocolate.

*Punch Bill O'Reilly in the cock to protest the drug war.

Look, don't ask me why. Just do it, okay?

Sit on your couch and laugh at infomercials to protest the drug war.

This has the potential to be the protest movement with the largest membership ever. And the infomercial crowd could really court this, since nobody makes poorer purchasing decisions than stoners. Maybe we could get them to underwrite a Washington march. We'd put a giant projection screen on the White House lawn and get a bunch of couches together. Jesus, you know the Dorito people want a piece of this shit. This could blow up huge! I'd be riding in limos, and buying a loft in the city and getting a regular massage staff. Uh, to protest the drug war, you know?

So, in conclusion, I'd like to thank the members of the academy for giving me this chance to protest the drug war. Right now, I'm going to drink the rest of this six-pack. To protest the drug war, of course.

So, if you're like me (and who isn't since congress introduced the 'be like Morgan or get rabid weasels in your pants' act), you were pretty dismayed to read about all the factual errors in Mike Moore's amazing film 'Bowling for Columbine'. Of course, as he patiently explains in his amusing rebuttal, there aren't any. A team of obsessive-compulsive lawyers were turned loose on it beforehand to assure that the company releasing it couldn't be sued. And of course they haven't. But that's just because the NRA likes to take the moral high ground in these matters, right?

Never doubted you for a second Mike.

In unrelated news, I'm going to be changing web hosts over the next week, so there might be some weirdness. This is all part of the plan to get my homebrew commenting system up and running. I'm also experimenting with some new designs for my blog page, and I swear to god I'm going to get that space invaders intro playable one of these days. Did I mention I work full time and am married and in a band? Good bloody thing I'm an insomniac.

Saw cabin fever tonight. Gotta say, the flesh-eating bactieria parts were really grossifying. Sheri and I were laughing and freaking out all at the same time. Kind of degenerated into a scary redneck movie for the last third though. And, it had one of the most gratuitisly stupid endings in recent memory. Still worth it for the squirm factor alone.

Oh, and by the way...

Everybody to the limit

Life, you never know when it's going to poke you. hard.
